Founded in 1923, Time is a weekly news magazine in the US and has the world's largest circulation for a weekly news magazine. The print edition has a readership of 26 million, 20 million of whom are based in the United States. Formerly published by Time Inc., it is now published by TIME USA, LLC and owned by Marc Benioff.

ACCOLADE

It has been the most famous feature throughout Time's history: the annual Person of the Year cover story, in which Time recognizes those who have had the biggest impact on news headlines over the past 12 months. Previous winners include Queen Elizabeth II, Adolf Hitler and Donald Trump.

RESULTS

In recent years the accolade has been awarded to multiple people per year, most notably, The Guardians (2018), The Silence Breakers (2017), The Peacemakers, The Ebola Fighters (2014), The Good Samaritans (2005) and The Whistleblowers (2002). Unusual winners include 'You' (2006), the Computer (1982) and the Planet (1988).
